Strengths:
Green is an elite five-tool talent and one of the top prospects in the ’09 draft.  A starter since his freshman year at USC, Green blossomed in 2008, earning All Conference and All American honors.  He continued his success into the Cape Cod League, where he was named an All-Star and the league’s top prospect by Baseball America.  Although he’s tall for a shortstop, he’s got the hands, footwork and range for scouts to project him at the position.  He hits for average and power and is a strong runner.

Weaknesses:
Green will need to cut down on his errors (he made 17 to lead the Cape Cod League).  He needs to improve his walk rate and strike out less.

The Future:
Five-tool shortstops are franchise cornerstones.  If he continues to improve in 2009, he could be a top five pick.
