Scouting report: Virginia Tech vs. #21 Virginia

Due to my full-time occupation (college student), most of the games I attend are in the Baltimore-Washington region. But occasionally, college games are broadcasted locally. The first of these in 2008 was Saturday’s game of Virginia Tech’s series against the Wahoos in Charlottesville, VA. The story of the game was Virginia’s lefty Pat McAnaney. The senior struck out a career high 13 batters in a complete game performance, giving up two runs and walking two. He was helped by junior first baseman Jeremy Farrell, who went 3-4 with 3 RBI and freshmen outfielders Dan Grovatt and David Coleman, who had two hits each. David Adams also had a good game, scoring each time he got on base.

Player pages are now up for McAnaney, Adams and Farrell. Each include video clips from Saturday’s game.
