2007   Fresno State       93.0   8.9   3.1   2.9   0.8   10.3   5.42

Strengths:
Scheppers has two plus pitches: a mid-90s fastball and a power slider. He’s got an ideal pitcher’s frame and he impressed coaches with a strong showing in fall practice in 2007.

Weaknesses:
Scheppers is inexperienced. He threw fewer than 110 innings in college and only pitched for one season in high school. He needs to develop a third pitch to project as a starter in the pros. He’s given up more than one hit per inning in his college career.

The Future:
Mid-first round pick.
