Strengths:
Peisel has transformed a solid college career into a legitimate future in pro ball thanks to a stellar senior season. Through April 6, Peisel has hit .350/.452/.602 with a career best five homers. He has a compact swing from a closed stance that allows him to spray balls to all fields. Peisel prefers to hit the ball to the opposite field. He stays back well on changeups and off-speed pitches. He is a solid-average runner.

Weaknesses:
Before 2008, Peisel didn’t do anything to open scouts’ eyes. Peisel has hit well for power in ’08, but he hadn’t done so in three previous years. He must hit for power to remain at third base.

The Future:
Peisel could be a solid third baseman if he continues to hit for power but also could shift to second base as a line-drive hitter. Either way, he would be a wise senior sign for a team after the 20th round.
