Strengths:
Mitchell converted from outfield to the mound in the fall of 2006. The results were impressive. He throws a 88-91 mph fastball with heavy life. His slider is another plus pitch. He throws from a funky high sidearm angle. He hasn’t logged many innings on the mound, which may be beneficial because it could reduce his chance for injury.

Weaknesses:
Mitchell’s fastball velocity is only average, and because of his small build, it isn’t likely to increase. His build and his delivery projects him as a setup man, not a starting pitcher.

The Future:
He should be drafted in the first five rounds.
