Honors:
- 2007 Pac-10 Pitcher of the Year
- 2007 Collegiate Baseball All-American First-team
- 2007 Baseball America All-American First-team
Strengths:
Guilmet is one of the most decorated pitchers in college baseball. He was the Wildcats’ Friday starter and dominated all year while striking out more than a batter per inning. The reigning Pac 10 pitcher of the year thrives in big game situations. His best pitch is his slider, which is a true plus pitch. He’s also got a great feel for pitching.
Weaknesses:
Guilmet doesn’t have plus fastball velocity. He projects as a middle of the rotation starter.
The Future:
Late first round/supplemental round.
