Strengths:
Maronde throws three pitches for strikes and although his mechanics are funky, he repeats them well. He’s tall and lean, which should afford him a bump in fastball velocity as he fills out.
Weaknesses:
Maronde’s present fastball velocity is only 90 mph. Even in a best case scenario, Maronde will never be more than a #3 starter.
