Strengths:
Hall has been a fan of scouts since he was Los Angeles Angels infielder Brandon Wood’s double play partner at Horizon High. Hall has always done enough to tempt scouts but not enough to excite them. He’s got solid tools across the board. He’s a solid-average runner. At the plate, he shifts his weight early but firms his front side.
Weaknesses:
Hall transferred from Arizona State before the 2008 season. His stats at ASU are good but not great. Some scouts believe that he doesn’t have the hands for shortstop and project him as a third baseman, where his power may not play.
The Future:
He will be drafted between the 10th and 20th rounds, unless he has a breakout year.
