Strengths:
Lobstein is one of the best high school prospects in the draft thanks to his immaculate mechanics and his four solid pitches. Lobstein maintains his 90 mph fastball deep into games and also throws a promising cutter, circle changeup and curveball. He’s good enough to play the field if he honors his commitment to Arizona. He’s the most polished pitcher in the draft and should fly through the minor leagues.
Weaknesses:
Even in a best-case scenario, Lobstein will never be more than a #3 starter in the big leagues.
