Strengths:
Davis has five-tool potential. He’s got a quick bat and good plate discipline. He’s got easy power, has good actions at shortstop. He’s got a strong arm.
Weaknesses:
Kyle Davis has had an inconsistent college career. As a freshmen, he hit .328/.441/.538 as a part-timer, but struggled as a full-time starter in 2007. He’s undersized, generously listed at 5-foot-11, and he might move to second-base.
The Future:
Davis is on sleeper watch. He must improve on his sophomore season, but if he does, he should go in the top ten rounds.
