- 2008 NCBWA Preseason All-American
- 2007 Baseball America Third-Team All American
- 2006 Cape Cod League MVP
Strengths:
Smoak is a polished switch-hitting first baseman. He has a clean stroke from both sides of the plate and has incredible power numbers. In the strong SEC, Smoak improved over a solid freshman season by taking more walks and hitting more home runs. He’s also a plus defender with soft hands.
Weaknesses:
Smoak has no obvious flaws.
The Future:
Top 5 picks.
