Strengths:
Wiltz is a strike thrower who has one plus pitch (a curve) and several solid ones (a fastball, a changeup and a splitter). He’s got a deceptive delivery; he drops his head not unlike (but less extreme than) Boston Red Sox reliever Hideki Okajima.
Weaknesses:
Wiltz’ ceiling is low. He projects as a middle reliever or long man. His mechanics are a bit strange; he flies open which might lead to arm trouble or a tendency to hang breaking balls. His stats are good but not great. His repetoire is not overwhelming.
The Future:
He could be drafted after the 30th round or not at all.
