Strengths:
Kelly, the son of former big leaguer Pat Kelly, could play Division I baseball and Division I football. He’s committed to Tennesse for both sports (Rivals.com ranks Kelly as the 17th best pro-style quarterback recruit with the “pro potential and ability to make an impact on a college [football] team”.) Scouts like athletes who are two-sport stars such as former Washington prep quarterback/outfielder Grady Sizemore. He’s got five average to plus tools.

Weaknesses:
It will be harder for a team to sign Kelly due to his two-sport commitment.  Some scouts think he’ll have to move to third-base as a pro.
