Honors:

- 2007 Collegiate Baseball All-American
- 2007 Coleman Company Johnny Bench Finalist
Strengths:
Posey was a star at Lee County HS in Georgia as a pitcher and shortstop. He was clocked as high as 94 mph as a high school junior and the ‘Noles envisioned him as a weekend starter or closer. By sophomore year, however, he moved behind the plate where his arm strength plays up. His other defensive skills are solid, too. He is also a solid hitter.
Weaknesses:
Offensively, he hasn’t shown much pop in the ACC. He hasn’t only caught for one season, so he’s still learning the finer points of the position.
The Future:
Posey is the third best catcher in the draft behind Kyle Skipworth and Adrian Nieto. He’ll be drafted late in the first round.
