Strengths:
Tidball has a major league plus pitch, an overhand curve ball that misses bats. As a starter, he throws his fastball in the mid to upper 80s, a circle change and a two-seam fastball.
Weaknesses:
He throws across his body, which adds to his deception but inhibits his velocity and could cause arm problems. He doesn’t maintain arm speed on his changeup.
The Future:
Tidball might have a future as a middle reliever in the big leagues. He could be taken after the 30th round if he has a solid senior season.
