Honors:

- 2008 Brooks Wallace Award Preseason Watch List
- 2007 All-CAA second-team
Strengths:
Buchholz is an elite hitter. He’s got an upright stance and he drives the ball to all fields. Nearly half of his hits in his two-year career have been for extra bases. He is patient and selective despite being pitched around. He is a solid defender with a solid-average arm. He’s got excellent base running instincts, although he’s not a burner on the basepaths.
Weaknesses:
Buchholz regressed somewhat in his sophomore season. He struck out more often and his walk rate, though improving, could be better.
The Future:
Top five rounds.
